Thomas E. Fogg

ALEXANDRIA TOWNSHIP, NJ - Thomas E. Fogg took leave of this world on March 4, 2018 at the age of 58. His family was at his side.

Tom graduated from Glassboro University, now Rowan, and spent most of his career working in public relations and fundraising. He held positions at CEA, Susan G. Komen, the American Diabetes Association, and was a regional VP for the American Lung Association. Most recently he was pursuing a career change as a respiratory therapist at UMDMJ, until he was diagnosed with cancer.

Tom was known for his bone dry wit and encyclopedic mind. He was an avid photographer, tennis player, and a lifelong Jets fan (an albeit punishing avocation post-1969). He had also just completed a novel titled "Dark Light" just two weeks before his passing. He was aided greatly in this process by Linda deNeufville of Califon, a tireless and compassionate hospice volunteer.

Tom is survived by his mother, Shirley Fogg of Pittstown, sisters Sheryl Basile and Melissa Fogg of Clinton and Califon, respectively, son Jason Apgar and three grandchildren: Summer, Kendyl and Wyatt of Forked River, nephew Christopher Erwin, his wife Julie and new grand-niece Samantha of Flemington, nephews Tristan and Elijah Downey of Califon, niece Melissa Erwin of Jersey City, many cousins including Judi Cook, and his brother-from-another-mother Neville Austin of Coatesville, PA. Loved ones who passed on before him include his father Thomas, brother David, brother-in-law Reggie Basile, grandparents Thomas and Constance Fogg, and Roy and Ellen Vreeland.

Services will be private at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822. Their work is caring, professional, and crucial.
