Arthur Hallinger, Sr.

KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ - Arthur A. Hallinger, Sr. , 84, of Kingwood Township, NJ passed away on Thursday April 26, 2018 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born October 23, 1933 in Washington Crossing, NJ, Arthur lived in Milford, NJ before moving to Kingwood Township in 1995. He was a graduate of Frenchtown High School. Arthur worked for the Riegel Paper Corp. in Milford, for many years, before his retirement. He also worked at the Delaware Valley Nursery in Alexandria Township, NJ. He was a member of the Ridge Road Farmers Club, the NRA and the Atlantic Salmon Federation. Arthur was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially fly fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His parting words to everyone were "May God Bless you and the Lord smile upon you."

Son of the late John Austin and Viola (Emmons) Hallinger, Arthur is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Emma Jane Hallinger, his four sons Arthur A., Jr. of New York, Dennis D. and his wife Laura of Florida, Mark D. and his wife Holly of Holland Township, NJ and Timothy L. and his fiancé Kristen of Kingwood Township, NJ, his daughter Susan J. Goldsworth and husband William of Williams Township, PA, his brothers John, Paul and Roland, his sister Louise Rzepka, ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother James and his granddaughter Fawn Hallinger.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 1, 2018 at 11AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ 08840, and will be officiated by the Reverend Dale Sattizahn.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Alexandria Township, NJ.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home.
