Leona Jane Dipple

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ - Leona Jane Dipple, 92, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at her home.

Born March 1, 1926 in Upper Black Eddy, PA, for 28 years Leona passionately delivered hundreds of students in all weather in her well decorated yellow bus and worked in the cafeteria for Delaware Valley Regional High School. Prior to that, she worked at Frenchtown Porcelain for 15 years and was also a waitress at Shady Lane in Kingwood Township. Leona was a lifetime member and past President of the Quakertown Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in High Bridge, NJ, and a member of the Kingwood Merry Mixers.

Daughter of the late Frank and Jennie (Opdyke) McCollick, Sr., Leona is survived by her son Floyd Dipple, Jr. and his wife Rose of Frenchtown, NJ, her three daughters Susan Eddy and her husband Jim of Vancleave, MS, Linda Harder and her husband David of Milford, NJ, and Patricia Papson and her husband Robert of Martins Creek, PA, her five grandchildren Jeremy, Gabriel, Michele, Stefanie, and Scott, and her six great-grandchildren Destiny, Elijah, Sierra, Solomon, Emma, and Luke. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Floyd Dipple, Sr. in 2005, her brother Frank McCollick, her sister June Scheetz, and her step-brother Woodrow Opdyke.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10 AM at the funeral home followed by interment at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown, NJ.
