Dorothy P. Erwin

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ - Dorothy P. Erwin, 88, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at her home.

Born December 21, 1929 in Everittstown, NJ, Dorothy lived in Mt. Pleasant and Alexandria Township, NJ before moving to Holland Township. She graduated from Frenchtown High School in 1948. Dorothy was an office manager for Pinecrest Apartments in Milford, NJ for over 20 years. Prior to that, she worked at Milford First National Bank and was also a homemaker. Dorothy was a very active member of the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church for over 70 years. There she was an Assistant Financial Secretary, Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, Presbyterian Women member, and bible study participant. She met her husband, Keith, while singing in the church choir as teenagers.

Daughter of the late Luther and Ida (Dufficy) Fleming, Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband Keith S. Erwin, Sr. with who she would have celebrated their 69th anniversary with on August 16. She is also survived by her two sons Keith S. Erwin, Jr. of Milford, NJ and Kevin S. Erwin of Flemington, NJ, her two daughters LuAnn M. Keefe of Annandale, NJ and Kelly E. Hines of Hellertown, PA, her two brothers Robert Fleming of Frenchtown, NJ and Luther Fleming of Everittstown, NJ, her sister Betty Anderson of Beach Haven, NJ, her 11 grandchildren, and her 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Phylis D. Kinney in 1999.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11 AM at the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church, 141 Little York-Mt. Pleasant Road, Alexandria Township, NJ. Interment will be private at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Alexandria Township, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
