Robert L. Doran

ALEXANDRIA TOWNSHIP, NJ - Robert L. Doran, 53, of Alexandria Township, NJ, passed away at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ, on Thursday, October 18, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 5, 1965 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Robert lived in Palo Alto, CA, and Flanders, NJ, before moving to Alexandria Township, NJ, in 2001. Robert graduated from Hanover Area High School in Hanover Township, PA, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and earned a Master's degree in Engineering at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. In his teenage years he worked on his uncle's diary farm in Hanover Township, PA. Robert worked as an electrical engineer at AT&T and Lucent Technologies in Whippany, NJ, Astra Technologies in Bridgewater, NJ, and was the Director of Engineering at XG Technologies in Hackettstown, NJ. Robert was a co-founder of Chill Enterprise, LLC. He was a kind, down to earth man who was a jack of all trades and could do anything. Robert took great interest in his children, coaching their sports teams and teaching them many things in life. He loved the Giants and the Yankees. When things got tough, his motto was, "God provides". He was a helper of many and would always make things stable. Robert was a loving son, a great father, and a fantastic husband.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Donna Doran, his son Joshua Doran of Alexandria Township, NJ, his daughters Justine Doran and Kaitlyn Doran of Alexandria Township, NJ, his parents Robert J. and Rose (Testen) Doran of Hanover Township, PA, his sisters Susan Clapps and her husband Tony of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Kathy Weyhenmeyer and her husband Tim of Mountain Top, PA, his brother Joe Doran and his wife Kristin of Drums, PA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11 AM at the St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church, 61 Mill St., Milford, NJ 08848. Interment will follow at Greenwich Cemetery in Stewartsville, NJ. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ.
