Marsha R. Sciss

Marsha R. Sciss

Marsha Roseanne Sciss of Milford NJ, formally of Upper Black Eddy PA, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Doylestown Hospital after a courageous battle against Covid-19. It would be wrong to say that Marsha lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. For those who knew her, knew Marsha to be strong and feisty and no doubt she used that to combat this unfortunate disease. There was no quit in Marsha.

She was born on September 29, 1949 to Harvey and Elsie (Morgan) Thomas. Marsha is survived by her son Michael Sciss, her daughter Kelly (Sciss) Mulroy (Ted), her grandchildren, Brooke Mulroy, Tyler Mulroy, Brielle Sciss and Alexcia Sciss, her partner Jesse Deemer and her beloved dog Dexter.

Marsha was a frequent flyer at the infamous Ma-De Chat Shop in Milford, where she formed many close friendships throughout the years. She enjoyed crafting, gardening and decorating for every single holiday. Ever since she was little, Marsha collected old porcelain dolls and had a passion for displaying them.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 6th from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. at Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Doylestown Health Foundation, 595 West State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.

A LIFE WELL LIVED

A life well lived is a precious gift,
Of hope and strength and grace,
From someone who has made our world
A brighter, better place.

It’s filled with moments,
Sweet and sad with smiles
And sometimes tears.
With friendships formed
And good times shared,
And laughter throughout the years.

A life well live is a legacy,
Of joy and pride and pleasure,
A living, lasting memory
Our grateful hearts will treasure.

So shocked and sorry to hear of her untimely passing! I worked with Marsha for a few years at Bowker’s Pharmacy. I leaned of her passing via the Joys and Concerns portion of last Sunday’s Zoom church service. Her sunny smile and warm laugh will be very much missed!

Softball was and always will be a treasured childhood memory. A memory made possible only through Marsha’s influence as a coach, protector, encourager, and friend.
