Sean A. Hanczaryk

Sean A. Hanczaryk

Sean A. Hanczaryk, 21, of Frenchtown, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 in Upper Saucon Township, PA.

Sean was born May 18, 1999 in Freehold Township, NJ. He graduated from Delaware Valley Regional High School in 2017, where he played baseball, was a catcher, and still holds the single season record for RBI’s. Sean was a senior at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA, majoring in Sport & Exercise Physiology, and where he also played baseball.

Sean is survived by his parents Paul and Carolyn Hanczaryk, his brother Daniel O. Hanczaryk, his maternal grandmother Teresa Bunkle, his paternal grandmother Mildred Hanczaryk, his uncles Philip Hanczaryk and his wife Mia and Peter Byer, and his two aunts Barbara Bunkle and her husband Ronald and Julie Hornlein and her husband Louis. He is also survived by many cousins and friends. Sean was predeceased by his maternal grandfather John Bunkle, his paternal grandfather Andrew Hanczaryk, and his aunt Mary Byer.

Sean loved the biological sciences and history, to train and lift weights, fish, hike, ski, sports of all kinds, especially watching and following football and, of course his passion, playing baseball and following the Boston Red Sox. He also loved very much his girlfriend, Sydney. He especially enjoyed reading story books to the children at the LVHN Children’s Hospital and to help host the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley each February. Sean was known for his infectious smile that would light up a room, quick wit, and his many circle of friends. Sean lived by his words: “Spend every day putting a smile on someone else’s face”. There were so many layers to Sean, so many interests; he was so well-rounded.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 5-8 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11 AM at the funeral home, with Rev. Jim Greenfield, DeSales University President and Rev. John Hansen, Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will follow at the Frenchtown Cemetery in Frenchtown, NJ. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing will be enforced.

My Deepest heartfelt condolences for your loss. I worked with Paul from 2016 to when he retired from the DOT and we would have conversations about Sean's baseball career. Paul would talk about Sean playing different positions and the games and injuries and the baseball trips. I too played college baseball so we had good conversations on the subject. I never met Sean but Paul is proud father, and by the way Paul would talk about Sean I knew he must have been an awesome young man. May you find comfort in God , family and loved ones in your difficult times. My prayers go out to the Hanczaryk family.

Our deepest sympathy to your family. We got to meet Sean a few times, most recently when he came to our home after Sydney’s Grandmother passed and we gathered together as a family. He made a fast friend with Sydney’s Grandfather when he discussed meeting a WW II veteran at an air show. He was such a great guy and I could see he loved our Syd very much. May your faith in God help you through this unbearable loss.

Dearest Friend, While the loss of a loved one is never easy, even when anticipated, it is most certainly the hardest when they are taken from us too soon. Your recent loss of your son who has left us at such a youthful age is definitely in the category of those hard losses for which there is so painful a reminder of what might have been. We offer our sincere condolence and deepest sympathy on your loss. May the outpouring of sympathy, the kind acts of friends and strangers and the comfort in knowing that your loss is felt by many, help you through this difficult time. I ask for God's blessings on you and your wonderful family. May you find the courage and strength to move forward in peace and confidence and in knowing that his was a life well-lived. Yours In Peace,

From: Noelle M Tironi
