Joy S. Crane

Joy S. Crane, 88, of Maple Shade, NJ, formerly of Alexandria Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at The Palace Care Center in Maple Shade, NJ.

Born May 2, 1932 in Passaic, NJ, Joy grew up in Boonton, NJ, and raised her children in Sharon, MA. She was a 1950 graduate of Boonton High School. Joy worked as a secretary for Easter Seals in Flemington, NJ, as well as many other jobs. She was a talented seamstress and made clothes for herself and her family.

Daughter of the late Chares and Mabel (Vanderhoof) Crane, Joy is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ford-Snedden of Texas, her two sons Robert Ford of New Hampshire and Peter Ford of Texas, her sister Lois Estler of New York, two grandsons and a great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Joy is predeceased by her sister Doris Sillick.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ 08848.
