Kenneth C. Hoover

Kenneth Carl Hoover, 88, of Frenchtown, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ.

Born December 8, 1932 in Trenton, NJ, Kenneth grew up in Lambertville, NJ, before moving to Frenchtown in the mid-seventies. He served in the United States Army as a communications specialist and was a veteran of the Korean War. Kenneth worked as foreman for the Heavy and General Laborers Union 472 in Newark, NJ, for over forty years. He also worked for Pinnacle Tree Company and Mohawk Construction, at one time. Kenneth enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the Frenchtown American Legion Fidelity Post 113 and a member of the National Rifle Association.

Son of the late Carl and Elizabeth (Sharp) Hoover, Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife Gail G. (Strouse) Hoover, his son Wade Hoover and his wife Barbara of Quakertown, PA, his daughter Rory McLeod of Florida, his step-son Melvin Allen, two step-daughters Tracy Soos and Carla Allen, his thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Kathleen Deily and his brother Richard “Dick” Hoover.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Foundation, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
