Nancy J. Vegh

Nancy J. Vegh

Nancy Jeanette Vegh of Upper Black Eddy, PA passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the age of 84, as the last surviving of eleven children from parents, Noah and Emma Godown, who brought together six children from prior marriages, Wilbur (Wib), Clarence (Patty), Dorothy (Dot), Lillian, Arlene and Harry (Popcorn), and who then had five children together, Earl, Edith, Norman, Herbert and Nancy.

Nancy never got over the death of her spouse of 58 years, Robert (Bob) Vegh, deceased in 2014, and is survived by son Rick and wife Donna and daughter Alexandra from West Allenhurst, New Jersey, son Gary and wife Gwyn and children Gary, deceased 2003, Russell, Craig, Brad, Shannon and Megan from Casar, North Carolina, and daughter Beth Ninesling and husband Jim and children Brennan, Landon and Brielle from Roswell, Georgia. Nancy is survived by great grandchildren Andrea, Zackery, Tanner, Savanah, Silver and Isaiah.

Nancy is also survived by her cousin Jan, loving nieces and nephews and brother and sister in laws, and many extended families from a lifetime of babysitting, such as the Hernandez girls, Amanda, Jessie and Ashley, and the Dringus boys, Bruce and Clive, and many many more.

Nancy was a lifetime Milford and Upper Black Eddy resident who had an amazing energy and a full understanding of what matters most in life -relationships - loving and caring for people, laughing with them, and entertaining and feeding them. She leaves behind countless survivors who call her a best friend, with many more that went before her.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 10 AM to 1 PM with a service to follow at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Interment will be held privately.

To the Family and Friends of Nancy Vegh: Nancy was a wonderful lively caring person. I was privaledged to know Nancy for over 35 years. Every time we were together I would be in awe of the lively outgoing attitude she always displayed. Going to her house for dinner was a treat beyond expectations, she never put out fewer than 13 dishes of good old fashioned delicious food. She would spend the day visiting a minimum of six different markets to make sure she bought the best of each product. If you were invited to play cards we would not call it cards but call it snacks in stead, she definitely loved her snacks. My condolences to her family and many friends. I will definitely miss her. Love Tony

Aunt Nancy was a wonderful person. I can remember all the good things she did for us cousins. She was full of life and joy and was always there for anyone. She will be missed here on earth but remember she is not suffering and is back with Uncle Bob. We loved her and still do. May God watch over the family in this sad time. We love you all.
