Johan "John" Jacob Lesko, 93, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at his son’s home in Alexandria Township, NJ, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born July 1, 1928 in New Brunswick, NJ, John grew up in New Brunswick and also lived in Edison, NJ, before moving to Holland Township, NJ in 2015. He attended New Brunswick High School. John served in the United States Army in the Army of the Occupation Germany and was a veteran of the Korean War. After his service, he worked in various positions at Bristol Myer Squibb in New Brunswick, NJ and retired in 1989 as a packaging mechanic. In his younger years, John played baseball in local leagues and he also enjoyed bowling. He was a member of the American Legion Post #435 in Edison, NJ.

Son of the late John and Anna (Sijarto) Lesko, John is survived by his son John Lesko and his wife MaryAnn of Alexandria Township, NJ, his granddaughter Danica Ann Lesko of Alexandria Township, his grandson Dylan Jacob Lesko of Seattle, Washington, his sister Irene Clark of South Hampton, NJ, his niece Ann Marie Olencki, her husband, and nieces and nephew. John is predeceased by his beloved wife Evelyn (Allen) Lesko in 1995, his stepson Joseph Dekis, his stepdaughter Bonnie Harris, and his sister Ann Thompson.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the St. Peter’s Cemetery in New Brunswick, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
