Doris E. Bellis

Doris E. Bellis, 78, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Lopatcong Care Center in Lopatcong Township, NJ.

Born April 28, 1943 in Easton, PA, Doris also lived in Easton before moving to Holland Township, NJ. She graduated from Easton High School and Empire Beauty School. Doris was a homemaker. She also worked as a beautician out of her home and at the Transogram Toy Factory in Easton, PA, at one time. Doris enjoyed reading, making crafts and sewing. Most of all, she was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her “Card Club Ladies.”

Daughter of the late Marvin Littleton and Sadie May (Trumbower) Kitchen, Doris is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Chester A. Bellis, Jr., her two daughters Tammi J. Whitehead and her husband Benjamin of Easton, PA and Sherri L. Karcher and her husband Chris of Holland Township, NJ, her brother Warren Kitchen, her twin sister Dorothy Oren, her grandchildren Joshua Whitehead and his wife Amanda, Dani Thomas and her husband Adam, Melinda Wentz and her husband Dustin, Corey Karcher and his wife Brenda, Tyler Karcher, and Rebecca Karcher, and her seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived my many nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her four brothers William, Paul, Elwood, and Robert and her four sisters Miriam, Helen, Evelyn, and Shirley.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be held at the Milford Union Cemetery in Milford, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ 08848.
