Manfred “Fred” Fuerst, 70, of Flemington, Readington Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ, with his loving family by his side.

Born August 30, 1951 in Hardhiem, Germany, Fred moved to the United States from Germany at one year old. He lived in Union and Kenilworth, NJ before settling in Flemington, NJ in 1960. Fred worked as a housekeeper at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ for 30 years. He loved his job and was well respected by his coworkers. Fred loved baseball. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards, coin collecting, and watching WWE (formerly WWF) - “It was not fake” is something he would often say. Fred was also a loving caregiver to his beloved wife Jacklyn. He will be dearly missed.

Son of the late Richard and Gerda (Hunger) Fuerst, Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Jacklyn (Paustian) Fuerst, his sister Hella Makarick of Milford, NJ, his two nieces Deb Weber and her husband Chuck of Holland Township, NJ and Dawn Gural and her husband Michael of Frenchtown, NJ, and his two nephews Jon Makarick and his wife Jennifer of Holland Township, NJ, and William Fritts of Pennsylvania.

A Celebration of Fred's Life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
