William Gerald Luhrs

William “Bill” Gerald Luhrs, 72, of Williams Township, PA, formerly of Riegelsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at his home.

Born April 19, 1950 in Riegelsville, PA, Bill lived there for most of his life before moving to Williams Township, PA in 2000. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Berry Plastics in Phillipsburg, NJ for 30 years. Prior to that, Bill worked at Mike’s Auto Body in Washington, NJ. He loved cars, especially fixing and restoring muscle cars. Bill was a family man and enjoyed being at home. He was a longtime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Easton Fish and Game Club for 20 years. Bill will be dearly missed by his loving wife and son.

Son of the late William Asher and Edith Lorraine (Rickert) Luhrs, Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Kathleen A. (Greene) Luhrs and his son William “Jonah” Lurhs and his fiancé Kristen of Allentown, PA.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 10-11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ, followed by a Celebration of Bill’s Life at 11 AM with Celebrant Henry C. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Riegelsville Union Cemetery in Riegelsville, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
