Dragutin K. Radovanic, 86, of Holland Township, NJ, formerly of Merritt Island, FL, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at his home.

Born August 2, 1936 in Vizovlje, Croatia, Dragutin lived in Croatia until moving to the United States in 1971. He lived in Irvington, NJ and Colonia, NJ before building his own home in Merritt Island, FL in 2002. Dragutin most recently moved to Holland Township, NJ, to be with his daughter and son-in-law. He served in the Croatian Air Force, working as an aircraft mechanic. Dragutin worked as a welder and fabricator for G & H Corp. in Hillside, NJ for 30 years. Prior to that, he worked for Wendell Truck Body in Hillside, NJ for 10 years. Dragutin was a handy man and always kept busy. He loved pig roasts and even built his own stainless steel roaster, at his home in Florida. Dragutin was known as a very easy going and loving man. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Son of the late Mijo and Ljubica (Jambrosic) Radovanic, Dragutin is survived by his daughter Dubravka “Deb” Weekley and her husband John of Holland Township, NJ, his sister Anna Pavicic of Croatia, his grandson Mark Karl Dobranjnscak and his wife Vicki, his two step-grandchildren Janine and David Weekley, and his five great-grandchildren Amelia, Nicholas, Jonathan, Christian, and Ember. In additon to being a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Drago was also predeceased by his loving wife Zlata Barbara Radovanic of 62 years. They were together for 65 years including the two years that Drago spent in the Foreign Military Service in Germany.

A Celebration of Dragutin’s Life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
