Dorothy G. Leichliter

Dorothy G. Leichliter, 92, of Upper Black Eddy, Bridgeton Township, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, PA.

Born July 10, 1930 in Easton, PA, Dorothy lived in Easton, PA and Phillipsburg, NJ before moving to Upper Black Eddy, PA in 1950. She worked as a custodian at the Bridgeton Township School for 20 years. In her later years, Dorothy worked as an auditor of Bridgeton Township, Bucks County, PA. She was also known for babysitting many children in the community. “Everyone wanted to come to her house.” Dorothy was a religious, Christian woman and read the bible often. She was an avid animal lover, she loved to feed the birds and wildlife around her property. Dorothy loved watching game shows. She enjoyed gardening was a member of the Tinicum Garden Club.

Daughter of the late Russell and Hilda F. (Fogel) Christian, Dorothy is survived by her two daughters Melody Gano and Rebecca Leichliter, her two sons Russell Leichliter and Timothy Leichliter, her two brothers Daniel and William Christian, her two sisters Mary Jane Cole and Sally Schofield, her thirteen grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Perry E. Leichliter, Sr., her son Perry Leichliter, Jr., her two brothers Harold and John Christian, her two sisters Rachel Heinzelman and Shirley Spencer, and her grandson Trevor Pursell.

Services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
