Elizabeth "Betty" Brown

Elizabeth “Betty” J. Brown, 95, of Basking Ridge, NJ, formerly of Westfield, NJ, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Betty was born on November 12, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY. She was a homemaker and a volunteer caretaker. Betty enjoyed helping her friends and driving them around when in need. She was a member of the Westfield Presbyterian Church.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Fay) Asem, Betty is survived by her cousins Fay Johnson and Scott Johnson and his wife Karen, and their children Kyle and Haley. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Carl F. Brown in 2012.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 10-10:30 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM with Reverend William “Tex” Culton officiating. Interment will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
