LeRoy G. Snyder

LeRoy G. Snyder, 84, of Milford Borough, NJ, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at his home. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Nancy (February 2023).

Born January 15, 1939 in Trenton, NJ, LeRoy and his wife resided in Milford for over sixty years. He worked as a steel fabrication engineer his entire career, retiring from Titanium Industries in Fairfield, NJ. LeRoy also worked as a police officer for the Milford Police Department. He was active in the community as a little league coach and a volunteer firefighter. LeRoy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren and following the Phillies and Eagles. He was devoted to his dogs Otis and Trixie and cat Susie.

Son of the late Orville and Elizabeth (Carver) Snyder, LeRoy is survived by daughters Nancy Gittins (Ron) of Nichols, NY, and Wendy Thomas (Dave) of Rockville, MD, sons Roy Snyder of Bethlehem, PA, and David Snyder (Jen) of Adamstown, MD, grandchildren Ron, Jr., Alan, Maegan, and Greta, seven great-grandchildren, sister Delores Stickel and brothers Amos Snyder (Pat), and Solomon Stamm (Joy). LeRoy is predeceased by brothers Grover, Orville, Allen, and Kenneth Snyder and sisters Ruth Zdepski, Genevieve Larsen, and Janice Booz.

A private graveside ceremony at Milford Union Cemetery is being planned for Nancy and LeRoy to be interred together. Arrangements are under the care of Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ 08848.
