Anthony “Chico” A. Aravich, Jr., 80, of Tinicum Township, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at his home.
Born June 15, 1943, in Easton, PA, Chico lived in Finesville, NJ and Holland Township, NJ, before settling in Erwinna, PA forty-eight years ago. He was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School in Phillipsburg, NJ. Chico worked at Riegel Paper Corporation in Milford, NJ, and ultimately retired as an electrical maintenance mechanic from JCP&L in Holland Township, NJ. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with various items, watching old horror movies on television, and attending any picnic or party with free food and beer.
Son of the late Anthony A. Aravich, Sr. and Helen (Shamus) Aravich, Chico is survived by his sons Anthony A. Aravich, III and his companion Stephanie of Quakertown, PA, Wayne L. Aravich and his wife Tiffany of Nazareth, PA, and Craig S. Aravich and his wife Christina of Quakertown, PA, his daughter Shirley L. Aravich and her husband Jim of Albrightsville, PA, his brothers Thomas Aravich and his wife Ruth, and Raymond Aravich, his grandchildren Aly, Bethaney, Kerstyn, Nikolet, and Nathan, his great-grandchildren Avery, Aria, Kingston, and Braxton, and his beloved cat, Marco. He was predeceased by his brother James Aravich.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 5-7 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. William “Tex” Culton officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to Delaware Valley Volunteer Fire Company, 75 Headquarters Road, Erwinna, PA 18920.
