Dolores O. Myers

Dolores O. Myers, 83, of Amherst, NY, formerly of Milford, NJ, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at the Beechwood Continuing Care Center in Getzville, NY.

Born June 25, 1936 in Everittstown, NJ, Dolores lived in Frenchtown, NJ for over twenty years and in Hammondsport, NY before moving to Milford, NJ. Most recently she resided in Amherst, NY. Dolores graduated from Frenchtown High School in 1954. She worked as a cashier for the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ for over ten years. Dolores was also a homemaker. She enjoyed Dancing with Wayne, crocheting and knitting. Dolores loved the outdoors, LBI Beach and especially gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Most of all, Dolores loved spending time with her family.

Daughter of the late Harrison S. and Myrtle (Kinney) Curtis, Dolores is survived by her beloved husband of twenty-nine years, Wayne W. Myers, her two sons Philip C. Fleming and his wife Elaine of Amherst, NY and Dwayne H. Fleming of Colden, NY, her sister Jeanette Fleming of Wind Gap, PA, and her five grandchildren Rachel, Jordan, Tyler, Emily, and Hannah. She is also survived by her two beloved poodles, Bella and Daisy. Dolores was predeceased by her first husband Franklin E. Fleming in 1997.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 11 AM- 12 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Funeral services will follow at 12 PM with Reverend William "Tex" Culton officiating. Interment will follow at the Milford Union Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of Dolores ' passing. We spent many happy days together as children. I was her childhood friend in Everitrstown . We lived across the street from one another. Learned to crochet, knit, embroider and other other fun things fun together. Please accept my my deepest sympathy Beatrice
