Joan, I was saddened to hear about George. I enjoy remembering the times we had in the Keys. George had a great sense of humor and a compassionate heart. Forrest and I send our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

We are so very saddened to hear of George's passing. Our hearts go out to Joan and the entire family. We truly enjoyed having George as our neighbor and talking with him when we would come down to deliver eggs. Our boys are going to miss him. They just told me of the times that they would see George working outside on something and they would go over to say hello. George never seemed to mind that they were interupting him. In fact, he would tell them to wait while he went inside to grab them each a piece of candy before he sent them on their way. We are so grateful to have been able to know George and even though it was only for a short while he left a lasting impression on our hearts and especially the hearts of my children.

"Uncle" George will forever hold a special place in my heart. He was a great part of my life growing up and his infectious laugh was always contagious! He was a wonderful man and the best friend to my father. May he rest in peace for eternity. My condolences to the family during this difficult time.
