Edna H. Lake

Edna H. Lake, 78, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born April 29, 1941 in Easton, PA, Edna lived in Hunterdon County, NJ for most of her life before settling in Holland Township in 1987. She graduated from North Hunterdon High School. Edna worked as a corrections officer at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in Clinton, NJ for twenty-three years. She was a previous member of the Cokesbury Church in Cokesbury, NJ. Edna enjoyed gardening, making crafts, and decorating gourds. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Daughter of Edward Harold Sweetman and Florence Lippincott, Edna is survived by her beloved husband of thirty-two years, Clifford Lake, her two sons Alan Whiteley and his wife Tonia of Dayton, OH and Timothy Whiteley and his wife Amanda of Ketchikan, AK, her daughter Alison Whiteley of Oklahoma City, OK, her step-daughter Lisa Kelly and her husband Jim of Ringoes, NJ, and her five grandchildren Ashley, Hannah, Amanda, Owen, and Ursula. She was predeceased by her step-son Jeffrey Lake.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Milford Holland Rescue Squad, 151 Water Street, Milford, NJ 08848.
