Doris E. Deemer

Doris Elizabeth Deemer, 95, of Milford, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, PA.

Born June 15, 1924 in Easton, PA, Doris lived there before moving to Milford, NJ in 1950, where she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker and also worked various part-time jobs. She was a longtime, active member of the Milford Vol. Fire Co. Auxiliary, a member of the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, and a longtime member of MaDe's Chat Shop Club in Milford, NJ. Most of all, Doris was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and her community.

Daughter of the late Jesse and Rose (Bowes) Kellogg, Doris is survived by her two sons James Deemer and his wife Shirley of Bethlehem, PA and Jesse Deemer and his partner Marsha Sciss of Milford, NJ, her four grandchildren Michelle, James, Lorianne, and Gregg, and her seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband James R. Deemer, Sr. in 2006, her daughter-in-law Kathleen Deemer, her three brothers Robert, Jesse, and William Kellogg, and her sister Martha Unangst.

A Celebration of Doris' Life will be announced at a later date, with Rev. William "Tex" Culton officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
