Herbert Tomlinson

Herbert "Herb" Tomlinson, 95, of Milford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2020 at his home.

Born November 28, 1924 in Trenton, NJ, Herb spent most of his life in Hopewell, NJ, and Trenton, NJ, before settling in Milford, NJ, in 2000. He was a graduate of Trenton High School. Herb worked as a welder for Johnson Welding Services in Hopewell, NJ. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening. Herb also loved bowling and was previously in a league with West Hunterdon Lanes.

Son of the late Howard and Nina Tomlinson, Herb is survived by his longtime companion Carrie Whitman of Milford, NJ, his brother Kenneth Tomlinson of Levittown, PA, and his friend Deborah Whitman of Milford, NJ. Herb was predeceased by his wife Jane Tomlinson in 1991.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be held privately at the Highland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
