Clara J. Gano

Clara Jane Gano, 94, of Frenchtown, NJ, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born January 9, 1926 in Iaeger, WV, Clara lived most of her life in Frenchtown, NJ. She worked as a waitress at several restaurants including Steve's in Baptistown, NJ, Hill Top in Flemington, NJ, Pittstown Inn in Pittstown, NJ, and Ships Inn in Milford, NJ. Clara enjoyed quilting, traveling, and collecting old bottles with her husband Sid. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Daughter of the late Alexander and Rose Manes, Clara is survived by her sister Betty Moore of Stuart, FL, her son David Gano and his wife Melody of Frenchtown, NJ, her three grandchildren Tonya Reese of Upper Black Eddy, PA, Tiffany Ciquemani of Holland Township, NJ, and Adam Gano of Holland Township, NJ, and her four great-grandchildren Shea Ciquemani, Brin Ciquemani, Savannah Reese, and Mandy Reese. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Sid Gano and by her six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Milford Holland Rescue Squad, 151 Water Street, Milford, NJ 08848.
