Ronald W. Scheetz

Ronald W. Scheetz, 82, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at his home.

Born July 21, 1938, Ronald was born and raised in Frenchtown, NJ. He graduated from Frenchtown High School in 1956. In 1957, Ronald married his high school sweetheart, Ila J. (Tharp) Scheetz. He was the owner and proprietor of R and R Auto Sales in Frenchtown, NJ, for over 40 years. Ronald loved and worked on automobiles his entire life, replacing rings and bearings in the alley next to his home, in Frenchtown, as a kid. His first word he ever spoke as a child was "car". Ronald was an avid private pilot for fifty years. He owned many planes, which he flew out of Alexandria field. Ronald enjoyed camping with his family and friends. He was a member of the Quiet Birdmen (QB) Somerville Chapter and of the Living Legends of Auto Racing in Daytona, FL. Most of all, Ronald was a loving husband and father who will be dearly missed.

Son of the late Clyde and Loretta (Scheetz) Cronce, Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-three years, Ila J. Scheetz, his two sons Ronald "Bill" Scheetz and his husband Julian, and Stephen Scheetz and his companion Tammy Weaver, his two sisters-in-law Alice Muztafago and her husband Ed, and Henrietta Tittle, and his step-grandchildren Dana and Keith. He was predeceased by his daughter Cynthia Lynn Scheetz.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Alexandria Township, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
