Gunnar Dominic Bickhardt

Gunnar Dominic Bickhardt, 4, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the St. Luke’s Warren Campus in Phillipsburg, NJ.

Born July 29, 2018 in Flemington, NJ, Gunnar lived in Holland Township. He attended preschool at Franklin Township Elementary School. Gunnar was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed Monster Trucks (especially Grave Digger), race cars (especially Lightning McQueen), and playing with his Hot wheels. Gunnar also loved spending time with his family, particularly playing in the attic at PopPop and Siti’s house, fishing with PopPop, and was very close with GiGi. He loved his brothers and idolized Bryce, who would ride bikes with him. Gunnar had a smile that would light up the world and everyone that met him fell in love with him

Gunnar is survived by his parents Justin and Lillian (Hine) Bickhardt, his brothers Bryce Bickhardt and Oliver Bickhardt, his grandparents George and MaryAnn Hine and Dominic and Roberta Gaudioso, his Uncles Robert and his wife Casey, Dominic, and George and his wife Kiersten, his Aunts Olivia, Jennifer and her husband Jonathan, and Kim and her husband Jonathan, his seven cousins, and his beloved dogs Butters and Sheldon.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11 AM at the St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 830 Fifth Avenue, Alpha, NJ. Interment will take place on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 10 AM at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
