David S. Griffith

David S. Griffith, 71, of Delaware Township, NJ, passed away on December 14, 2022 at Capital Health Hospital in Hopewell, NJ.

Born December 1, 1951 in Greene, NY, David lived in many different places in the Northeast before moving to Delaware Township, NJ in 2005. Before his retirement, he worked as a District Operations Manager for Emerson Process Management in Warren, NJ, where he worked for over 40 years. David enjoyed beekeeping and took care of his two hives. He was a musician, playing bass for the praise band at his church, as well as various bands when he was in High School. He also enjoyed playing open mic nights with his wife. David loved the outdoors, especially working on his family’s mini farm and gardening. He had a witty sense of humor and could often be found joking around with others, even when they were not expecting it. He was a genuine and kind man who always listened, even if he couldn’t really hear you.

Son of the late Richard and Jean (Broun), David is survived by his beloved wife Jennifer (Smith) Griffith, his three sons Joseph Sambiase and his wife Shelly of Gainesville, VA, Kyle Pecoraro of Stockton, NJ, and Ryan Pecoraro and his fiancé Sophia Rymsza of Fairfax, VA, his two daughters Amber Junkins and her husband Adam of Coatesville, PA, and Krista Weiss and her wife Marybeth of Henersonville, NC, his brother Richard Griffith and his wife Julia of Mont Vernon, NH, his sister Kathy Goddard and her husband Stanley of Milford, NH, and his four grandchildren Robert, Gavin, Carson, and Jackson, as well extended family and partners.

A celebration of life will be held at Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, 22 4th St. Frenchtown, NJ 08825 on Sunday, January 8th, 2023 at 1:00 pm, followed by reception to be announced. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ 08848.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in David’s memory to The American Beekeeping Federation (https://www.abfnet.org/donations/) or National Public Radio (https://www.npr.org/donations/support).
