Oliver Butler, Jr.

Oliver “Ollie” M. Butler, Jr., 58, of Tinicum Township, PA, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.

Born June 11, 1964, in Flemington, NJ, Ollie lived in Holland Township, NJ, before settling in Erwinna, PA in 1988, with his wife Paula, in their new home that Ollie and his father-in-law built together. He worked as a well driller for Ziegenfuss Drilling Company in Ringoes, NJ, before retiring in June of 2022 as an Inventory Control Specialist for MEL/Luxfer Technologies in Flemington, NJ. Ollie had a lifelong passion for stock car racing, an intense love of hand-splitting and cataloging firewood, traveling, and most of all, spending time and sharing meals with his dear friends and family.

Son of the late Oliver Moser and Patricia M. (Kinney) Butler, Sr., Ollie is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Paula (Turnbull) Butler, his son Derek Butler and his wife Crista of Canton, NC, his daughter Jillian Cicalese and her husband John-Louis of Moorpark, CA, his brother Clayton Butler of Milford, NJ, his sister Judy Pursell and her husband Richard of Honesdale, PA, and countless nephews.

Services will be private. A Celebration of Ollie’s Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pluckemin Medical Equipment Ministry. Please make checks payable to Pluckemin Presbyterian Church, 279 U.S. 202, Pluckemin, NJ 07978 and write in the check memo MEM or Medical Equipment.
