Alfred H. Kroemmelbein

Alfred H. Kroemmelbein, 89, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at his home.

Born December 26, 1930 in Morristown, NJ, Alfred grew up on a dairy farm in Frenchtown, NJ, before settling in Holland Township, NJ, in 1957. He was a 1949 graduate of Frenchtown High School. Alfred worked on his family's dairy farm for many years. He also worked at Riegel Paper Corporation, as well as started a business, R&R Construction, with his brother Bob in the 1970's. Alfred was a member of St. Edward the Confessor R. C. Church in Milford, NJ, where he also belonged to the "Golden Agers". He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Alfred was a family man and was always there to help all who needed it. He loved to work outside and was a jack of all trades.

Son of the late Harry and Margaret (Kelly) Kroemmelbein, Alfred is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Janet (Cubberley) Kroemmelbein, his sons Chris Kroemmelbein and his partner Kim, Dan Kroemmelbein, Mark Kroemmelbein, and Kevin Kroemmelbein, his daughters Holly Winsor and her husband Bernie, and Beth Harper and her husband Jim, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and his beloved caregiver Barbara Harris. He was predeceased by his son David Kroemmelbein, his brothers Robert and Theodore Kroemmelbein.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 5-8 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 11 AM at St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church, 61 Mill Street, Milford, NJ. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church, P.O. Box 522, Milford, NJ 08848 or to the "Golden Agers" c/o St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church.
