Jean C. Clappse

Jean Corrine Clappse, 91, of Lebanon Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Little Brook Nursing and Convalescent and Nursing Home in Califon, NJ.

Born August 10, 1929 in Irvington, NJ, Jean lived in Frenchtown, NJ before moving to Flemington, NJ in 1995. She worked for McDonald's and also volunteered at the Hunterdon Medical Center in the Cafeteria and Linen Departments, for many years. Jean had a love for all cats, especially for her Simon, Stuart, and Ryan, who were great companions to her when she lived alone. She enjoyed films, especially the old classic musicals. Jean was loved by many. She would draw in those around her with her friendly smile and big heart. Jean was a loving friend, mother, and grandmother. Her biggest joy in life was her grandson, Evan. She was a member of the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church.

Daughter of the late Walter and Cornellia (Sack) Eaton, Jean is survived by her two daughters Carol Jean Huze and her husband William of Flemington, NJ, and Patricia L. Ambrosio of Stewartsville, NJ, her son Robert R. Clappse of Miami, FL, and her grandson Evan David Ambrosio. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert T. Clappse.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:30 AM at the Bloomsbury Cemetery in Greenwich Township, NJ, with Rev. William "Tex" Culton officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
